Baseball: Monarchs Roll Past Lemoyne, 20-7

NORFOLK,VA (March 5) -- Tim Hummel (Montgomery, NY.) and Jeff Eure (Pillow, Pa.) each had three hits and knocked in four runs to lead the Monarchs of Old Dominion to a 20-7 victory over Lemoyne Sunday afternoon. ODU is now 4-9-1, the Dolphins drop to 1-5.

Old Dominion pounded out 16 hits to help junior righthander Shawn Weaver (Loganton, Pa.) to his second win of the season. Eure, a sophomore thirdbaseman hit a two-run homer in the fourth with Hummel aboard.

Senior outfielder Joe Trilo(Avondale, Pa.) knocked in three runs on two hits. Troilo, Hummel and Eure all scored three times on the day.

The Monarchs travel across town on Tuesday afternoon to play at Norfolk State. Game time is 3 p.m.
