RICHMOND, VA-- Junior righthander Ryan Bergh (Reddick, FL.) has been named Pitcher of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association.

Bergh tossed 7.2 shutout innings to lead the Monarchs to a 1-0 victory over defending CAA Champion UNC Wilmington and complete the three-game series sweep. Sophomore Ross Fetterly picked up the save, closing out the last inning-plus.

Bergh allowed just five hits and struck out three as UNCW was shutout for the first time this year. Bergh improved his record to 3-4 with a 3.94 earned run average.
