Baseball's Musolf Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, VA -- Old Dominion sophomore first baseman Jared Musolf (Lakehurst, NJ) was named CAA Player of the Week today after batting .529 (9-for-17), scoring eight of 41 runs, driving in eight and helping the 29th-ranked Monarchs to a perfect 4-0 record on the week and a sweep of CAA-leader and then 21st-ranked East Carolina. Musolf is the second Monarch in a row to be recognized as CAA Player of the Week, joining Brent Sollenberger from last week.

Musolf drove in eight runs in four games and scored eight of the Monarchs 41 runs. He had three RBI games against NC State and East Carolina. He's currently leading the CAA in hits (75) and ranks first on the team and second in the CAA in batting average (.424).
