Monarchs Host Georgia State In CAA Opener

NORFOLK, VA-- The Monarchs of Old Dominion (11-13/0-0) will collide with the defending CAA Champion Panthers of Georgia State (12-9/0-0) in the league opener for both. The series begins Friday at 7 the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.

Georgia State is coming into the series on a 2 game winning streak with victories this week against Alabama State and Kennesaw State at home. Old Dominion is looking to get back on the winning track.

ODU is scheduled to start the series with Kyle Hald, while David Buchanan will throw for the Panthers.

SERIES VS. GEORGIA STATE (12-9) Georgia State is the defending CAA Tournament Champions. ODU leads the series, 8-6. The Panthers won two of three games last year in Atlanta, and in Norfolk in 2008.
