JMU Defeats ODU, 12-6

HARRISONBURG, VA--Lee Bujakowski knocked in five runs to lead the Dukes of James Madison (2-12/1-2) to a 12-6 victory over Old Dominion (13-8/2-1) Sunday afternoon. Freshman Jake McAloose (Virginia Beach, VA.) and David Burns (Jacksonville, FL.) each knocked in two runs for the Monarchs.
Bujakowski doubled in Alex Foltz in the second and knocked in the third inning on a fielder's choice. In the sixth inning with JMU leading, 5-3 Bujakowski doubled home Mitchell Moses, Brett Garner and Steven Caseres.
In the ODU fifth inning Mike Zahm (Omaha, NE.) singled home Gerard Hall (Washington, DC. ). Jake McAloose then doubled home Chris Keenan (Chesapeake, VA.) and Zahm. In the ODU seventh Burns singled home Zahm and Keenan.
Anthony Shawler (Chesapeake, VA.) later singled home Burns. Chris Keenan and Jake McAloose led ODU with two hits each. JMU out hit ODU, 17-10. The Monarchs return to action on Tuesday when they host Marist at 3 p.m.
