Dan Hudson Gets CAA And National Honors

NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University Sophomore righthander Dan Hudson (Virginia Beach, VA.) was named CAA Pitcher of the Week and National Player of the Week by COLLEGIATE BASEBALL NEWS.

The 6-4 pitcher out of Princess Anne High School tossed a complete game four-hitter with no walks and a career high 15 strikeouts in as ODU defeated the University of Delaware Friday nigh, 2-1. Hudson is now 7-3 overall, 5-1 in the CAA and has a 2.75 Earned run average.

Hudson ranks third in the CAA in ERA behind teammate Anthony Shawler (2.48) and Adam Bowling of Georgia State (2.08). Hudson is tied for second in the CAA in wins with Luke Pisker of VCU (Shawler leads with 9) and he is second to Shawler in the CAA with 85 strikeouts in 78-plus innings. Shawler has 98 in 83.1.

ODU is off for exams until returning to action, May 4th for a three-game CAA series at George Mason.
