NORFOLK, VA-- Five Monarchs, Nick Wright (Suffolk, VA.), Anton Larsen (Copenhagen, Denmark), Donte Hill (Virginia Beach, VA.), DeShawn Painter (Norfolk, VA.), and Ben Finney ('11 Norfolk, VA.) received their undergraduate degrees over the weekend at Old Dominion University commencement exercises. 2011 graduate Darius James received his Master's Degree in Higher Education.

Wright graduated with a degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Management. He completed his career with 552 career points and 368 career rebounds after averaging 6.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season.

Hill, a junior graduated with a degree in sociology. He scored a career high 16 points at Murray State and averaged 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, playing in all 30 games with 28 starts. Hill was a CAA All-Academic selection this season.

Red-shirt junior Anton Larsen graduated with a degree in International Business. The 7-0 Larsen played in 23 games this season with three starts, and was a CAA All-Academic selection.

DeShawn Painter who came to ODU from NC State graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. ODU's leading scorer at 13.0 points per game and 8.4 rebounds. Painter, the team MVP ranked fourth in the CAA with 11 double-doubles this season.

Darius James, ODU's co-captain and four-year starter during the Monarchs back-to-back CAA titles and NCAA appearances in 2010 and 2011 received his Master's Degree. James completed his ODU career with 960 points, and 454 assists as his senior class won 97 games which included two CAA titles,the Collegeinside.com Post Season Championship and an NCAA tournament win over Notre Dame.

Finney, a teammate and co-captain with James on those Monarch championship teams completed his degree in Sociology. Finney is ODU's second all-time leader in career games played with 139. He completed his career at ODU with 1,211 career points and 805 career rebounds. Was named All-CAA in 2010.
