Dahi Named CAA Player of The Week

NORFOLK, VA--Junior forward Arnaud Dahi (Ivory Coast, Africa) has been named Colonial Athletic Association's Player of the Week. The 6-7 Dahi scored a career high 25 points in ODU's 84-81 loss to Wisconsin in the Paradise Jam Championship, then scored 22 points with seven rebounds in the Monarchs 80-57 home opening win against Mt. St. Mary's.
Dahi hit 19-25 (.760) from the floor, 6-7 from the free throw line and 13 rebounds in the two games. He averaged 23.5 points per game during the week.
As a team, ODU leads the CAA in free throw percentage at .771 and ranks in the Top five of the league in scoring (75.0), scoring defense (64.5), field goal percentage (.466), three-point field goal percentage (.319), field goal percentage defense (.392), steals (7.5) and assist/turnover ratio (1.08). Dahi ranks seventh in the CAA in field goal percentage at .610, while Alex Loughton is seventh in rebounding at 8.0 and Drew Williamson is sixth in assist/turnover ratio at 2.0 and seventh in assists at 4.0.
ODU, 3-1 returns to action on Wednesday in Lexington, VA., against the Keydets of VMI. Gametime is 7 p.m.
