The Monarchs return home to the Constant Center to host the Keydets of Virginia Military Institute (2-0), Wednesday at 7 p.m. ODU is 4-1 after winning the Corpus Christi Challenge. The Monarchs are currently 16th nationally in the CollegeInsider Mid Major poll.

Isaiah Hunter NOTE
Junior guard Isaiah Hunter (Charlotte, NC.) will miss tonight's game following the death Monday of his father, Irving Hunter of cancer. The funeral is 12 noon on Friday in Charlotte. The funeral home is A.L. Jinwright. 4300 Statesville Road. 704-599-5994.

LAST GAME The Monarchs went 3-1 last week. ODU captured the Corpus Christi Challenge, defeating Kent State, 64-59; TCU, 67-62; Shawnee State, 99-54 then lost to Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 71-67. Even though ODU, Kent State and Corpus Christi were 3-1, ODU allowed fewer Points. Florida State fin-ished 1-3 , TCU was 2-2 and Shawnee State was 0-4.

NEXT GAME The Monarchs host William & Mary Saturday, December 4th at 7p.m.

SERIES VS. VMI ODU leads, 17-4
First Meeting: 1967-68 VMI wins in Lexington, 96-88 Last Meeting: 2003-04, ODU wins at the Ted, 74-52.

VMI is the first of two Big South opponents on ODU's schedule this year. The Monarchs travel to Liberty on Dec. 7.
