NORFOLK, VA-- ODU sophomore Trian Iliadis was presented the CRC Press Chemistry Achievement award which is given to a chemistry or biochemistry major with the highest average in chemistry 115N-116N sequence.

The award is sponsored by Taylor and Francis Group, LLC. The award consists of a hardcover copy of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics and a commemorative scroll. Selection is based on outstanding academic achievement in chemistry.

Iliadis played in all 36 games for the Monarchs with a 3.1 point per game average. He also dished out 26 assists and had 21 steals. He scored a career high 13 points in ODU's win over Charlotte. Iliadis also scored 11 points against Longwood and 11th ranked Georgetown.

Earlier this year, Iliadis was named to the Colonial Athletic Association's All-Academic first team.
