John Waller added 18 points for Old Dominion, making 4 of 6 from 3-point territory. Old Dominion converted 8 of 15 3-point shots in all and shot 54 percent overall.

It was also a very happy 45th birthday for head coach Blaine Taylor.

ODU returns to action on Saturday night when they play at Delaware. Gametime is 7:30 p.m. in Newark.
