NORFOLK, VA. -- The Old Dominion University Monarchs open the pre-season with a four-day tour of London, England. For many on the squad, this will be their first trip across the Atlantic Ocean.

"I am looking forward to this tour. It will be a great experience to see a different culture and get a chance to play against some good competition," said senior John Waller (Richmond, VA.). "I think this trip will also help our team chemistry."

This will actually be the third trip for CAA pre-season second team All-CAA selection Alex Loughton (Perth, Australia). "I flew into London twice this year, coming to and from Australia", said Loughton. " I have a cousin who lives there. I really enjoyed the city."

Senior guard Troy Nance (Virginia Beach, VA.) echoe's Waller's feeling about the tour. "This is the first time I have ever gone across the Atlantic Ocean, and I am looking forward to the all around educational experience," said Nance. "This trip will be good for us as a team both physically and mentally."
