Monarchs Host Carleton University in Final Exhibition Game

NORFOLK, VA-- The Old Dominion University Monarchs host Carleton University from Ottawa, Ontario Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Ted Constant Center. This will be ODU's final exhibition before the season opener on Nov. 20 against South Alabama.
This is Carleton's first game of their US tour. They play at Maryland on Saturday. During their fall exhibition season, Carleton was 11-2 and averaging 83.3 points per game. Osvaldo Jeanty, a 6-0 guard leads the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game, followed by Matt Ross, a 6-0 guard averaging 10.3 points and 6-5 Michael Smart at 10.9 points per game. Aaron Doornekamp, a 6-7, 200-pounder leads the team in rebounding at 6.4 per game.
The Monarchs won their exhibition opener against Elizabeth City State University, 71-42 as Isaiah Hunter (Charlotte, NC.) led with 20 points, while Kiah Thomas (Norfolk, VA.) added 12 and Alex Loughton (Perth Australia) scored nine with 12 rebounds.
The NCAA experimental rules will be used in the contest. They are the three-point circle of 20-6; wider lane and the restricted area arc which is two feet from the center of the basket ring.
