McCullum Selected To NABC Student Basketball Council

NORFOLK, VA. (March 1) -- Old Dominion Universitiy junior forward Andre McCullum (Whiteville, NC.) has been selected to the 47-member NABC Student Basketball Council that will meet, discuss ideas and offer proposals on issues that affect todays collegiate basketball players.

McCullum will be one of the seven-member executive council which will meet face-to-face at the FINAL FOUR in Indianapolis, IN.

"This is a great honor to be selected to this council," said McCullum. "It's an opportunity to discuss issues that affect us as student athletes and give our input to the NCAA." McCullum leads the Monarchs in scoring (13.0 ppg), rebounding (7.0) And free throw percentage (.785).

The newly formed council met for the first time Sunday via teleconference. The council will meet, discuss ideas and offer proposals on issues that affect players such as summer recruiting, financial aid, summer school, etc.
