ODU Hosts Liberty In An ESPNU BracketBuster Nationally Televised Game On Feb. 21

NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion University Monarchs will host the Flames of Liberty in the seventh annual ESPNU Bracketbusters TV game on Feb. 21st in the Constant Center.
ODU will be one of five teams from the Colonial Athletic Association whose games will be televised on one of ESPN's family of channels. A total of 13 games will be televised. ESPN will announce game times and networks for the 13 televised contests on Monday, Feb. 9. Six games will air on ESPNU, five on ESPN2, one on ESPN and one on ESPN360.com.
The other four CAA games to be televised will be VCU at Nevada on Feb. 20th. George Mason at Creighton; Hofstra at Fairfield, Northeastern at Wright State will be on Saturday, Feb. 21st.
Liberty (16-7/7-4) is a member of the Big South Conference. The Flames have already beaten CAA members George Mason, 69-66 in overtime, William and Mary, 80-74 in overtime along with the University of Virginia, 86-82. The Flames lost to Clemson, 80-75 and DePaul, 64-63.
Liberty is led by 6-3 freshman guard Seth Curry who is averaging 20.3 points per game. He is the Younger brother of Davidson All-American Stephen Curry. Anthony Smith, a 6-5 senior guard is averaging 18.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, followed by 6-4 junior Kyle Ohman at 12.6 points and 5.4 rebounds. Ohman is this week's Big South Conference Player of the Week.
ODU and Liberty have met two times before. The Monarchs defeated them, 87-66 in the Constant Center during the 2003-04, and then beat the Flames, 70-54 in Lynchburg in 2004-05.
