Greene, McCullum and Jones Earn CAA Honors

RICHMOND, VA. (March 2, 2001) -- Pierre Greene (Chicago, ILL.) and Andre McCullum (Whiteville, NC.) along with Clifton Jones (Pleasantville, NJ.) earned honors from the Colonial Athletic Association at Friday nights awards banquet.

Greene and McCullum were selected to the second team All-CAA squad and Jones was named to the league's All-Defensive team.

Greene averaged 12.0 points per game and 3.6 assists per game. He ranks sixth in the league in free throw percentage at .759, fifth in assists and eighth in steals.

McCullum picks up this award for the second straight year. McCullum is averaging 12.5 points per game, and is seventh in free throw percentage at .746. He has performed five double-doubles this year and comes into this weekends CAA tournament with 1096 career points and 547 career rebounds.

Jones, the CAA rebound leader at 9.5 hauled in 23 rebounds last week against UNC Wilmington which is the highest rebound performance this year in NCAA Div. I.

Jones performed six double-doubles this year. He not only leads the CAA in rebounding, the 6-7 senior ranks second in the league in blocked shots at 1.6.

ODU opens the CAA Tournament Saturday at 1 p.m. against William and Mary in the Richmond Coliseum
