Annual Lady Monarch Golf Tournament Set for Friday, June 6th
PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Lady Monarch Golf Tournament was officially been rescheduled for Friday, June 6. Shotgun start will still be at 12:30 p.m., with lunch provided, and a dinner and auction following the golf round.
The Old Dominion University women’s basketball team will hold its annual golf tournament on Friday, June 6, at the Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth. The event, which is co-sponsored by BB&T, Scott and Stringfellow, Environmental Consultants, Osage of Virginia, and Técnico Corporation, is open to all players, coaches, and fans, and will consist of a full day of golf followed by an awards banquet replete with awards, prizes, and an auction. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. to commence the golf tournament. Participants are encouraged to stick around for the dinner and awards banquet which is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Monarch Basketball Golf Tournament has solidified its self as one of the biggest fundraisers in ODU athletics over the years. Varying levels of sponsorship are available to all attendees and are greatly appreciated! For tournament registration, which covers green fees, a cart, driving range balls, a boxed lunch, dinner and beverages, the cost for individuals is $125 while foursomes may sign-up for $450. Those wishing to attend the dinner and awards banquet solely may purchase admittance for a $30 fee.
