NORFOLK, Va. -- Sophomore Jessica Canady (Williamsburg, Va.) averaged 23.5 points and 11.0 rebounds and shot 68 percent from the field coming off the bench in helping the No. 13/18 Old Dominion women's basketball team to back-to-back 30+ point victories to earn Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week honors. It is the second time this season Canady has earned the weekly award from the conference office.

Canady poured in a career-high 28 points against Northeastern, which included 22 first half points along with a string of 14 consecutive points. With the Lady Monarchs down 10-4 in the early part of the opening half, Canady went on a 14-1 run of her own to give Old Dominion the lead for good.

Against Delaware, Old Dominion's "sixth woman" collected her third double-double of the season with 19 points and a career-high 15 boards.

Canady is currently averaging a team second-best 11.6 points per game.

The sophomore forward also won CAA Player of the Week honors for the week ending January 6th as she poured in a then career-high 21 points along with 10 rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor and 7-of-7 shooting from the line in the CAA opener at Georgia State.
