Dorian Jackson joined the ODU Athletics staff in 2013 as the Creative Services/Marketing Assistant.
Dorian helps plan, coordinate, and perform marketing and promotional activities for and in conjunction with Old Dominion University’s 18 varsity athletic teams. He promotes products and services with activities such as advertising in campus publications, designing and distributing flyers, preparing brochures, and developing other promotional vehicles to assist with creating excitement and attendance at selected sports.
Before officially joining the ODU staff, Dorian assisted as an intern for the Department of Marketing in the Spring of 2012 and later served as the Graduate Assistant for the Department of Creative Services from August 2012 to May 2013.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Dorian graduated from ODU with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in sport management and a minor in marketing in 2012, and holds a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in sport management in 2013 also from ODU.
During his time as an undergraduate student at ODU, Dorian was a member of the inaugural football team in 2009 and played three seasons at wide receiver before graduating. Dorian has received many awards as a student-athlete such as the Academic Excellence Award from the Office of Student Activities and Leadership and was named to the 2011 Colonial Athletic Association Football Academic All-Conference Team.
For excellence in the classroom, Dorian became a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda Natural Leadership and Honors Organization and is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
