Indianapolis, Ind. - Old Dominion University's Sidni Hoxha finished up his 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming Championships today. This morning, Hoxha tied for 29th place in the 100 freestyle preliminary in Indianapolis, Ind.
Hoxha finished the 100 free preliminary in 43.48, which was a fingertip shy of his PR and CAA record that he set on Nov. 19, 2012 (43.43).
On Friday night, Hoxha swam the 50 free and finished the preliminaries in 18th place with a time of 19.67. 19.67 was just seven hundredths of a second shy of Hoxha's own school record that he set at the preliminaries of the CAA Championships a couple weeks ago. Hoxha came-up a mere three hundredths of a second shy from making the cut for the finals in the 50 free. Joao De Lucca (Louisville) and Anthony Cox (California) both finished at the 19.64 mark, finishing in 16th and 17th, respectively. Hoxha and Cox were the only two alternates for the 50 free final.
Hoxha was named `The Most Outstanding Swimmer' of the 2013 CAA Championships in Fairfax, Va. Hoxha won five medals, set four school records, and posted two NCAA B-cut times.
