Washington, D.C.-The Old Dominion swimming and diving teams took on George Washington University today and came away with a split. The men's team defeated G.W. 125-109 but the ODU women fell 138-92.

The men were led by seniors Joe Kieffer (Hamburg, NY) and Mark Giusto (Va. Beach, VA). Kieffer won both diving events and Giusto took first in the 100 free. Freshman Ryan Stoner (Va. Beach, VA) also fared well, capturing a win in the 200 breast to hold off a Colonial comeback-attempt.

Ashley Kirchner (Arlington, VA) and Steph Goldwaithe (Va. Beach, VA) were the top performers for the women's side. Kirchner swept both events on the boards and Goldwaite registered a win in the 200 back.

Old Dominion will be back in action on January 19, when they host JMU and Davidson
