Other highlights from Nationals included three-time CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week senior Arni Arnason who placed 25th in the 50 freestyle, 25th in the 100 breaststroke, and 30th in the 200 breaststroke. Joining Arnason in the 50 free C Finals field was last years CAA Champion Sophomore Sidni Hoxha and Junior Kimberley Rashleigh.

East Carolina University's last head to head competition was back on November 12, where they swept a dual meet against Catawba, bringing their men's team to a 2-2 record and their women's squad to 4-2.

The Monarchs faced East Carolina last season where both ODU's men and women teams were defeated by the Pirates. The loss for the men ended a nine-meet winning streak.
