Diver David Skorupa Wraps Up Season on 3 Meter

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Senior Monarch diver David Skorupa (Richmond, Va.) closed out his season at NCAA Zone Diving on Saturday scoring a 195.55 on the 3 meter and placing 42nd in the field.

The first Monarch to appear at Zones since 2008 placed 30th yesterday on the 1 meter with a point total of 240.35.

During Saturday's performance, Skorupa performed a forward 2 ½ somersault pike, forward 3 ½ somersault pike, inward 2 ½ somersault tuck, back 2 ½ somersault pike, forward 2 ½ somersault twist tuck, and a reverse 2 ½ somersault pike.

Post-season for the ODU Swimming & Diving program continues next week when junior Erla Haraldsdottir (Njardvik, Iceland) heads to the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in Austin, Texas competing in the 100 breaststroke.
