Former All-CAA Monarch Tyler Haverty joins the Old Dominion swimming and diving coaching staff for his third season as an assistant coach.
During his career at Old Dominion, Haverty earned nine All-CAA honors for the Monarchs in the freestyle and relay events.
During his senior season in 2007, as Haverty captained the Monarchs, he swam his way to all-conference honors in both the 100 and 200 freestyle, as well as with the 400 and 800 freestyle and 400 medley relays. He finished the conference championships placing second in the 200 freestyle, third in the 100 freestyle, and fourth in the 50 freestyle.
In his junior campaign, Haverty was named All-CAA as a member of the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay squads and was also a part of the 400 medley relay team that placed third. Individually that season, Haverty finished third in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 and 200 freestyle.
Haverty graduated in 2007 from Old Dominion with a degree in communications.
