Norfolk, Va. - Old Dominion University head rowing coach Heather Weisel announced today the addition of Joseph Drebaum to the Monarchs coaching staff where he will serve as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's varsity rowing team which will begin competing this fall.

"Coach Drebaum is an invaluable and integral part of our coaching staff. He brings an incredible work ethic and dedication to the sport of rowing," added Weisel. "As a role model he is outstanding and as a coach he is a patient and skilled communicator. We are so fortunate to have him join our staff."

A 2003 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he earned his degree in biology biotechnology, Drebaum was a four-year letterman in varsity rowing for the Engineers. He most recently spent the past two years as the Novice women's crew coach for the ODU Rowing Club.
