Women's Rowing Concludes Fall at Rivanna Romp

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's rowing team hits the water for one last competition this fall by heading to the Rivanna Romp at the Rivanna Reservoir.
The Lady Monarchs will be competing against 2010 NCAA and ACC Champions Virginia, as well as Duke and Pennsylvania.
Racing begins at 9 a.m. with the varsity eight, followed by the novice eight and varsity four.
The Lady Monarchs have had an impressive fall thus far with the varsity four capturing first place in the Lightweight 4+ division and ODU taking second in the Women's Open 8+ at last week's Head of the Hooch and the varsity four taking third and frosh/novice eight collecting fourth place at the Head of the Schuylkill.
The Old Dominion women's rowing team will then kick off its spring schedule on March 17th hosting North Carolina and Delaware on the Elizabeth River.
