NORFOLK - Old Dominion University athletics announced today that the Monarchs football game on Saturday, Nov. 8 vs. Florida International University will serve as the centerpiece for Homecoming activities on campus this fall.
“The matchup with FIU should be an excellent Homecoming for our team and fans. Our football team will have literally been away from S.B. Ballard Stadium for over a month prior to Homecoming so I feel certain the energy and atmosphere will be electric surrounding this game. Additionally, by playing in early November, this game could be a critical contest in determining Conference USA Championship scenarios,” says ODU athletic director Dr. Wood Selig.  “We look forward to hosting returning alumni, fans and friends to the game, as well as welcoming guests to many of the Homecoming activities slated on campus in the days leading up to the game itself.”
The Homecoming schedule of events will be announced in the near future and the kick-off time for the football game will be announced at a later date due to C-USA television planning purposes.
