Single-game tickets to Old Dominion football games, as well as a three-game mini plan, go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. And that will include tickets to ODU’s home opener against Norfolk State, a game expected to generate high ticket demand.

ODU opens the season on Saturday, Aug. 31 against the Spartans. It will be the first game in Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium, which is in the final stages of a $67.5 million reconstruction.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office at Chartway Arena or online.

For those of you on the fence about getting season tickets – they're still on sale and still very reasonable.

Hundreds of seats on the east and west sides are available for $200, the same price as last season when fans were forced to deal with poor fan amenities at Foreman Field.

Fans on the east and west sides will enjoy wider seats with more leg room, chair backs on every seat and modern concession stands and rest rooms.

How nice is the new stadium? It can’t be adequately described in words. You have to see it to believe it. Suffice it to say that athletic director Wood Selig essentially said ODU will be moving from a rundown economy hotel into a high-end Marriott.

Most available seats on the sidelines require seat membership fees, but that fee is $50 or $100 per seat in many sections. No contribution to the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation is required.

Season tickets are available in the north end zone for $99 apiece. That works out to about $16 per game. Although the seats haven’t changed, fans will still have access to modern concessions and rest rooms.

For single-game tickets, sideline seating for Norfolk State, Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, UTSA and Charlotte ranged from $40 to $50. Sideline tickets for the East Carolina game on Sept. 28 will be $50 to $60. End zone tickets will be $25 apiece.

The mini plan allows you to pick any three game, including Norfolk State and ECU. The mini plans cost $105 per ticket for bench-back seats. You can add more games for $35 apiece.
