NORFOLK, VA. -- Senior forward Rasheed Wright (Greensboro, NC.) and freshman Isaiah Hunter (Charlotte, NC.) paced their respective teams in the annual Blue-White scrimmage Saturday afternoon in the new Ted Constant Convocation Center.

Wright scored 21 points and dished out three assists for the Blue squad, while Hunter led the White squad with 15 points, and four assists. The Blue squad won the game, 53-44.

Ricardo Marsh (Mebane, NC.) added ten points for the Blue team, while 6-9 freshman Alex Loughton (Perth Australia) scored 13 points (5 for the white team and 8 for the blue).

"It is always tough playing yourself," said Blaine Taylor. "We started with the veterans against the sophomore's and freshmen, then in the second half went with a mixture of young and old. I was pleased with a lot of things, but can't wait to get back to work.."

Added Rasheed Wright, "I thought we had two pretty competitive sessions. As a senior, I am so excited to be playing in this new building. I just love this place and can't wait for the regular season."

The Monarchs return to action on Monday, Nov. 4 when they host E.A. Sports in an exhibition game.
