Snow Tabbed Field Hockey CAA Player Of The Week

NORFOLK, VA -- Old Dominion's field hockey senior midfielder Tiffany Snow (Escondido, CA) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week for the week ending September 29th it was announced late Monday by the league office. Snow collected nine goals and an assist as the Lady Monarchs finished the week with a 3-0 mark.
Snow was the team's leading scorer in all three games and netted two of the week's game-winners. Additionally, she had a huge impact on the defense helping the Lady Monarchs to two shutouts. In both of the shutouts, Snow and her teammates did not allow a single shot on the Old Dominion net.
On the year Snow holds a team-leading 15 goals and ranks second on the squad in assists (8) and points (38). She has recorded 145 career points over the last four seasons on 56 goals and 33 assists. She is currently tied with Lisa Doran (1986-89) for 10th on the ODU all-time goals list and needs 16 more assists and 13 more points to crack the top 10 on each of the lists.
The fourth ranked Old Dominion field hockey squad had one of its most productive offensive outputs last week. The Lady Monarchs, who stand at 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the CAA, defeated #8 James Madison, 7-3, Virginia Commonwealth, 10-0, and #18 Virginia, 11-0. In all, Old Dominion outscored their opponents 28-3, outshot them 86-10, and outcornered them 45-4.
The Old Dominion field hockey team returns to action this weekend when they travel to #14 Princeton on Saturday, October 5th and new CAA rival #17 Delaware on Sunday, October 6th.
