Field Hockey Championship Bracket Set

RICHMOND, VA -- The Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey Championship field is set after an exciting finish to the regular season. Three teams learned their destiny after Delaware's 1-0 win at Virginia Commonwealth on Tuesday. Old Dominion will host the tournament as the #1 seed.

The Lady Monarchs have won six consecutive CAA titles and have not lost a game to a CAA opponent since the 1995 championship game. They face #4 James Madison on Saturday, November 9 at Noon. JMU and Delaware finished tied for third in the standings but Delaware holds the advantage thanks to a 1-0 victory during the season.

Delaware will be the third seed and battle #2 William & Mary on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The Tribe finished the season winning eight in a row, including six CAA victories. They defeated the Fightin' Blue Hens 3-2 in double overtime during the regular season.

The winners will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday for the CAA Championship and an auotmatic berth to the NCAA tournament.
