1999-2000: Played a major role in the Lady Monarch perimeter game...Saw action at the point guard position...Played in 34 games, starting 27...Averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game...Takes very good care of the ball, as evident from her CAA-leading performance in assist-to-turnover ratio (178 assists to 86 turnovers)...Was third in the CAA in assists (5.24), sixth in steals (2.09), and eight in three-point shooting (35.7%)...CAA Rookie of the Year...CAA All-Rookie...Scored in double figures eight times...Dished out a career best ten assists three times...Netted a career high 17 points against East Carolina on six-of-ten shooting...Collected a career high eight steals against St. John's (2-22-00).

High school: An exceptional point guard, Spence is a member of one of the top 20 best recruiting classes in the nation (along with Giddens and Howard)...Over her last two seasons, led Chatfield High School to a 44-4 record and back-to-back state championships...During both of those years, was named the MVP of the state championship game...Over the last two years of her career, Spence collected a 40-0 record in state play...A four-year letter winner in basketball...Averaged 12.9 points, 6.9 assists, and 4.1 steals per game...Was assist leader in the state of Colorado...Shot an impressive 84.9% from the charity stripe...A Parade High School All-American...A four-time All-State selection...An Academic All-State selection......A participant in the Nike All-America camp held in Indianapolis...Was invited to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Invitational Camp...Because of her All-America status, had her jersey displayed at the opening of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee...Her jersey is retired at Chatfield High...An honor roll student.
