Lady Monarchs Blank William & Mary, 3-0

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Sept. 17, 2000) -- The Old Dominion field hockey team posted its fourth shutout victory of the season Sunday afternoon at William and Mary. The Lady Monarchs collected a 3-0 win over William and Mary for their first Colonial Athletic Association win of the season. Old Dominion improves to 5-1 overall (1-0 CAA) while William and Mary falls to 6-1 overall (1-1 CAA).

Senior midfielder Marina DiGiacomo (Mendoza, Argentina) had a hand in each of the goals for Old Dominion, collecting two and assisting on another. Sophomore forward Tiffany Snow (Escondido, Calif.) added the third goal for the winners.

Old Dominion will return home this coming weekend with a Saturday tilt against Virginia Commonwealth (1 pm) and a Sunday match-up with Virginia (1pm).
