LAS VEGAS, NV.-- Former ODU standout Kent Bazemore (Kelford, NC.) scored 18 points and dished out five assists to help lead the Golden State Warriors to a 91-77 victory over the Phoenix Suns in the Championship game of the NBA’s Vegas Summer League. The game was played at the Thomas and Mack Center. Bazemore was named to the All-NBA Summer League team.
Bazemore, the two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year and 2011 CollegeInsider.com National Defensive Player of the Year was 8-for-18 from the floor with four rebounds and a steal. He averaged 18.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this summer.
Teammate Ian Clark (Belmont) scored 33 points and was named MVP for the title game as the Warriors finish the summer league play at 7-0.
