NORFOLK, VA—ODU Baseball Monarchs Jordan Negrini (Kihei, Hawai'i), and P.J. Higgins (Wallingford, CT.) have been recognized by Baseball America as top performers from the summer leagues they played in.
Senior thirdbaseman Jordan Negrini helped lead the Peninsula Pilots to the League title as he hit a team best .329 with 26 runs scored, 46 hits, two homers and 27 runs batted in. Negrini also stole ten of 11 bases and knocked in the game winning RBI in the League Championship series.
Sophomore infielder/outfielder Higgins led his Lehigh Valley team of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League with a .322 batting average. Higgins hit one homer, knocked in 14 runs with nine doubles in 39 games played.
Baseball America ranked a total of 260 players from 21 summer baseball leagues.
