PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 20 Old Dominion field hockey team (6-6, 3-1) defeated Villanova University (3-9, 0-4) 6-0 Friday night in Big East play with goals coming from four different players.

“The team played very solidly tonight,” said ODU head coach Andrew Griffiths. "We moved together as a team on both sides of the ball, and really supported each other well. We had goals from four different scorers – an unselfish team performance.”

Sophomore Sarah Breen gave the Lady Monarchs a quick two-goal lead, scoring her ninth and tenth goals on the year with an assist on the first goal going to junior forward Rosario Villagra. Before the end of the half Cassandra Wagner buried her third goal on the year to give ODU a 3-0.

The second half began with Emily Harting scoring her third goal of the year at 39:15 with an assist going to Breen. Wagner continued the goal scoring with her fourth of the year at 50:05 unassisted.
