The tournament field has been set for the 2013 NCAA Division I Field Hockey championships. The ODU Lady Monarchs, winners of nine NCAA titles, will compete on Saturday in Chapel HIll, NC, against Wake Forest, with the winner advancing to the quarterfinals on Sunday against either UNC or the winner of the Liberty/ Delaware play-in game. UNC earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament, with the University of Maryland earning the top seed, followed by Syracuse at No. 2 and Duke as the No. 4 seed.
Tickets are on sale now for the NCAA national championship tournament for $25, which includes admission to the Division I games at ODU, and the Division II and III semifinal games on Friday, Nov. 22 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. Games begin at 11 a.m. in Virginia Beach, while the Division I semifinals are set for 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 22 at ODU. The national championship games will all be played on Sunday, Nov. 24 at ODU, beginning with the Division III game at 10:30 a.m., the Division II championship at 1 p.m., and the Division I final at 4 p.m.
