Associate Director of Sports Performance (Two Positions)

Old Dominion University is accepting applications for the position of Associate Director of Sports Performance (two positions). The successful candidate will have substantial experience working within the Strength and Conditioning/Sports Performance sector of Division I Athletics with previous experience supervising full-time, part-time and graduate assistant level staff. The Associate Director of Sports Performance will report directly to the Director of Sports Performance and be responsible for the shared oversight and scheduling of the Jim Jarrett Athletic Administration Building Weight Room.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Certification (SCCC); substantial experience working at the Division I Level; supervisory experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Men's or Women's Basketball and previous experience developing and managing budgets a plus.

Assistant Swimming Coach

Old Dominion University, a NCAA Division I member of Conference USA, is accepting applications for the position of assistant swimming coach.The individual will assist the head coach with day-to-day operations of the men's and women's programs including, but not limited to, assisting with daily pool training workouts, the strength and conditioning program, coordinating team travel, recruiting of incoming prospects, fundraising for the swimming and diving program, developing alumni relations, managing competition schedule and meets, and enforcing team, University and NCAA rules and regulations.

Qualifications: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with experience equivalent to that of an advanced degree. Coaching experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate coaching experience preferred.

Assistant Director of Compliance

Old Dominion University, a NCAA Division I member of Conference USA, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Compliance.

The individual will assist in the overall continued development of a Division I compliance program. Compliance responsibilities will include monitoring and organizing recruitment paperwork from contact/evaluation logs to official visits, data entering of studentathlete records in various databases, maintaining a compliance rules education from rules interpretation to presenting information in the all-staff meetings, establishing relationships with key university personnel, overseeing numerous team meetings and the pertinent information for student-athletes at various times of the year, meeting with various coaching staffs through the year regarding NCAA legislation, eligibility requirements, financial aid, and recruiting information, continuing strong relationships with the academic advising staff, and researching information for various institutional, conference and NCAA reports.

Qualifications: a Master's degree or bachelor's degree with experience equivalent to an advanced degree is required. The applicant must have experience in collegiate athletics, a working knowledge of the NCAA Manual with its rules and regulations, effective communication skills, and strong organizational and computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications: experience within a Division I compliance program.
