Third Season

Christine Accettella begins her third season as the assistant coach of the Monarchs.

An All-American in 1994, Christine was also the team captain and MVP for the squad that year. While sailing for Old Dominion, Accettella was part of a second-place finish in the B-division at the 1991 I.C.Y.R.A Women's National Championship. She also skippered a crew to a first-place finish in the A-division at the 1993 Navy Fall Women's regatta.

Despite her duties as an assistant coach, Accettella continues to sail competitively during the off season. This past summer, she took first place in the Baltimore Sail for Sight and the Annapolis One Design Regatta. In addition, she competed in the Gaastra J22 World 2000 Championships.

Originally from Babylon, NY, Christine graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine in 1994 and finished with a Masters of Physical Therapy in '96. She currently resides in Virginia Beach.
