Career
2012-2013: Turned in a second place finish alongside Jill Fattibene in the A Division of the South #1 Race... Placed fourth in the B Division of the Captain Hurst Bowl with Fattibene as well... Individually, placed third at the MAISA Laser #2 race... Also took 11th in individual competition at the Carl Van Duyne MAISA.
2011-12: Placed fifth with Jill Fattibene in the Riley Cup B Division Race, third with Colin Voigt in the Top 9 Regatta B Division Race and 15th with Jaclyn Hollander in the 2012 Rose Bowl Regatta B Division Race... Individually, placed third in the MAISA Laser Qualifier and sixth in the Navy Fall D Division Race while also competing in the Car Van Duyne Race... Placed third in the A Division of the ODU Spring Open with Rachel Pokorny and managed a seventh place finish in the D Division race in the Truxtun Umsted... Took first place in the A Division race of the MAISA Spring Open with Colin Voigt.
Prep: Was a standout track & field athlete for four years at Jackson High School... Graduated with honors.
Personal: Born June 21, 1992... Son of Richard and Jamie Hoffmann... Twin brother, Scott, is also on the ODU Sailing team... Transferred from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Calif... Spent the summer as a sailing instructor... Enjoys playing guitar, piano and singing ... Majoring in Economics.
