Ryan made his mark on several events last year, finishing 13th at the Laser South Qualifier, and second in the A division of the KP Dinghy Open during the fall...During spring competition, Thorvaldsen finished fifth in the B division of the Charleston Intersectional and ninth at the KP Dinghy...While at Sayville, Ryan lettered in soccer, track, and golf in addition to sailing.
