The Old Dominion sailing team qualified for the America's Cup Trophy this weekend with a second place finish at the Old Dominion Open. Navy won the event compiling only 85 points in 22 races.

The Monarchs totalled 90 points as the Charles Higgins and Ashley Marriner finished first in the A division with 36 points while Andrew Newbold and Vincent Fontimayor rallied to take fourth in the B division with 54 points.

UMBC and Georgetown also qualified for the America Trophy regatta to be held April 26th and 27th in Bronx, NY.
