The Icfree 2-on-2 Christopher Newport Sailing Center - March 10th & 11th Conditions: SSE winds of 6 to 10 on Saturday and out of the North at 8 - 12 on Sunday. Fairly steady both days with good weather and temperatures on the 50s to the low 70s. A double rotation was run and the fleet was then split into a championship round (Georgetown, Old Dominion, St. Mary's and Maryland and a consolation round (Christopher Newport, Delaware, Webb Institute, and Maryland -Baltimore County). While scheduling priority for this event goes to the teams who are not pre-qualified for the Prosser Regatta, with openings available, Old Dominion, Georgetown and St. Mary's got into the event and proved to be the better teams. But the racing was often extremely close and many races were not decided until the last leg and often the last 50 yards. The winning Georgetown team consisted of Todd Breeden, Madeline Maguire, Marco Teixido, and Alex Taylor.
