ODU Sailing Finished 8th at St. Mary's/11th at Navy

The Old Dominion sailing program competed in two regattas over the weekend with a seventh place finish at the St. Mary's Women Intersectional and an eleventh place showing at the Truxtun Umsted hosted by the US Naval Academy. Hawaii won the event at St. Mary's with 104 points while Hobart/William Smith took first at Navy with 314 points. The Lady Monarchs tallied 164 points at St Mary's as Anna Tunnicliffe and Christabelle Fernandez teamed for an ODU best third place A division finish with 46 points. Debbie Cappozzi and Maureen Castruccio finished 14th in the B division with 118 points. St. Mary's and Tufts totaled 108 and 115 points respectively to round out the top three. The coed squad racked up 434 points in the four-division regatta at Navy. Corrie Clement and Liz Bower had Old Dominion's best finish as they won the B division with just 64 points. Bill Berg also recorded a strong finish as he came in fifth in the D division. Tufts and Harvard finished right behind Hobart/William Smith for second and third with 318 and 330 points respectively.
