The Old Dominion sailing is in second place after the first day of racing at the MAISA Team Race Championships after going 4-2 on Saturday. The top three finishers of the event hosted by New York Maritime College will qualify for the Team Race Nationals.

St. Mary's is in first place after turning in a perfect 7-0 record on the first day of the two-day regatta. Hobart/Wm Smith is right behind ODU in third at 4-3.

The eight-team regatta will conclude on Sunday.

The Monarchs are also competing in the Ferrarone Trophy at Yale University this weekend. ODU went 4-3 during the first day of competition at the 11-team Intersectional. UCSB and St. Mary's are tied for first at 6-1.
