CHESTERTOWN, MD - The Old Dominion women's sailing team finished in second place out of seven teams this weekend at the Washington College Women's Open. Cara DiSanti and Janica Ryan led the Lady Monarchs with a first place finish in A division with 13 points.

In B division, Alissa Ayers and Elyssa Albert teamed up to finish in fourth place with 26 points. Fifth-ranked Navy won the race with 39 points, while the 13th-ranked Lady Monarchs claimed second with 39 points.

Racing was held on Saturday only as a full round robin was completed. Wind was from the north at 8-15 knots with a light rain all day.

Old Dominion will compete at the Admiral's Cup, hosted by Kings Point, and at the Arrigan Memorial, hosted by Georgetown, next weekend.
