The Old Dominion women's sailing team is in third place with 87 points after the first day of racing at the Dellenbaugh Women's Intersectional hosted by Brown University. The coed team from Old Dominion in competing in the Admiral's Cup at the US Merchant Marine Academy where they stand in 16th at the Saturday's action.

Corrie Clement (Metarie, LA), Amy Bourne (Va. Beach, VA) and Liz Bower (Fairport, NY) lead the way for the Lady Monarchs with a second-place showing in the A division with 43 points. Anna Tunicliffe (Perrysburg, OH), and Anna Cobb (Mechanisville, VA) recorded a fourth-place finish in the B division with 44 points. St. Mary's, who ranked first over ODU in the lastest national ranking, currently holds the lead with just 39 total points. Brown is behind them with 65 points in second place.

At the Marine Academy the Monarchs trail the three-division regatta with 243 total points. Bill Berg (Longwood, FL) paced the team on the Saturday with 77 points, which is 12th in the C Division. St. Mary's also leads this regatta with 113 total points.

Both of these events will conclude on Sunday.
