AUSTIN, TEXAS - The Old Dominion University coed sailing team finished their season on Friday at the 2012 Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (ICSA)/Gill Dingy National Championship on Lake Travis. The Monarchs finished in 17th place with 318 points.

A lack of wind would played a factor all three days as just three races were able to completed for each division on Friday and only 13 total races were finished in the event. ODU's A-Division tandem of junior skipper Dillon Paiva and sophomore crew Chloe Constants took 17th overall with a score of 174. On Friday, they finished in 16th, 10th and 14th place in their three races.

The Monarchs' B-Division team of sophomore skipper Brady Stagg and senior crew Emily Reich placed 15th overall with a score of 144. Senior captain Gavin Rudolph and sophomore crew Jill Fattibene raced in the ninth and 10th races for ODU in the B-Division. On Friday, Stagg and Reich took 14th, ninth and 10th in their three races of the day.

Georgetown, who led for most of the event, won by a wide margin with 137 points. The Hoyas were followed by Roger Williams (169), Yale (171), College of Charleston (207) and Harvard (213).
