The Monarch sailors placed fourth at the New York Maritime Open. ODU's A Division and B Division boats both finished fifth overall.

Alan Alkins and Wick Smith compiled 25 points which included a third and a fourth place finish in A Division. The B Division boat of Wilson Stout and Stephen Waters finished fifth with 22 points.
