NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University women's sailing team finished third at the Navy Fall Women's Intersectional, completed on Sunday in Annapolis, Md. Additionally, Monarch sailor Kevin Shockey placed sixth at the MAISA Men's Singlehanded Championships.

At the women's intersectional, Stephanie Roble, Ashley Pellerito and Ashley Brusso totaled 72 points for a third place finish in the A Division, while Morgan Wilson and Arianna Baker garnered 95 points for a fifth place B Division finish. Senior skipper Katrina Williams won the C Division with 42 points, besting second place by seven points.

ODU finished behind Yale and St. Mary's in the 16-team field. The Lady Monarchs, along with St. Mary's and William & Smith qualified for the ACC's.

In the 16 races, the A Division trio finished in the top-five in 10, including a victory in the final race. Wilson and Baker won two races in the B Division and Williams won two races in the C Division to go along with 10 top-five results.

Kevin Shockey just missed qualifying for the men's singlehanded nationals, placing sixth in an 18-team field with the top four advancing. The senior skipper had seven top-five finishes and two wins. Teammates John Shockey and Collin Leon placed seventh and eighth place, respectively.
